May 2009:
Wave Star Energy and CBD Design came in first in the Biennial of Crafs and Design 2009 on 7 May.
The
design price was obtained for the new 500 kilowatt wave machine in
composites, steel and concrete, and the model will be displayed at
Trapholt in Kolding until 6 September 2009.
Wave Star Energy was nominated for
"its highly original and striking sculptural design of a wave power
machine, which in one single image symbolises and clarifies the huge
potential of this renewable energy resource. Its technological
qualities aside, the wave power machine constitutes a beautiful pendant
to the clear form expression of the modern windmill".
